We are thrilled to announce the signing of our first official player to the GFC roster, Mimi Eiden !

​

Mimi is an incredibly talented, versatile, and experienced player, and we are proud to represent her.  Born in Monrovia, Liberia, Mimi relocated to Minneapolis, MN, where she excelled in high school and youth club soccer.  Her impressive performance earned her a spot at the University of North Dakota (NCAA Division I), where she was named the 2018 Freshman of the Year.  During her Junior year, Mimi ranked third in goals in the Summit League before transferring to the University of Montana (NCAA Division I).  At Montana, she started 10 out of 11 games in a Covid-shortened season and helped lead the team to their 5th NCAA appearance.

As a professional, Mimi has reached new heights. She was named Captain of the Liberian National Team and received a call-up in April 2021 for the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier. Mimi started and played all 90 minutes in both legs against Senegal in October 2021. Her professional club career began with UMF Grindavik in Iceland from February 2022 to September 2022, where she scored 8 goals and had 2 assists.

In 2024, Mimi has returned to Iceland to play for Vestri FC.
